HAND OF LOVE
POETRY: BY – JOSEPH MAXWELL SPENCER
I say what’s your take on love?
I experienced love with a certain lassie once
***********************
I say some people want to be shown love in public places
But some preferred theirs in private places
***********************
I say love is an entirely different animal
I think I’ve been in love since
***********************
I say love is not running around full of hormones
Trying to bang everything in sight
***********************
I say if you want to talk about love
I think it’s something you can’t go in and out of
***********************
I say you never fall out of love
I’m speaking from my own experience
***********************
I say when you feel true love
It overcomes death and separation
***********************
I say for most of my ex-girlfriends
I do have a certain level of affection for them all
***********************
I say when you are in-love and separation came
I bet nothing felt worse
***********************
I say a times I couldn’t eat or think straight
I lay in bed depressed day after day
***********************
I say sometimes the pain of separation was so unbearable
I didn’t care if I lived or died
***********************
I say love is strictly not a remedy for loneliness
It’s the joy of sharing your life with another person
***********************
I say love is expensive in terms of emotion
There’s always a price to pay
***********************
I say is it better to have loved and lost or not to have loved at all?
That’s the age old question
***********************
I say the sheer helplessness of being in prison is worse
I hope the lived experience of being in love lasted longer for you than it did for me
***********************
I say to be alone is a brutal thing
Without the love of your life to give you comfort
***********************
I say languishing in love amounts to mental torture
I pray to walk with the love of my life hand-in-hand again for eternity.
